Certified Firms

The IICRC certifies and endorses professional cleaning firms that establish and maintain a professional atmosphere in conducting business. The criteria for this certification includes adherence to the IICRC Code of Ethics, the promotion of high standards within the industry, and a policy of hiring only Certified Technicians or those enrolled in an approved program leading to Certification.

Certified Firms are recognized by and listed with several prestigious referral services including the IICRC toll free Consumer Hotline and the Cleaner Referral Service, subscribed to by major fiber producers for servicing the warranties on stain resistant carpets. A-Town / Hi-Tech is an IICRC-certified firm.

Certified Technicians

The heart of the IICRC certification structure is the Certified Technician program. Professional cleaning specialists can be certified by IICRC in eight categories. Technicians may specialize in any of the disciplines or archive multiple certifications and work toward the Journeyman Cleaning Technician, Journeyman Restoration Technician, Master Cleaning Technician and Master Restoration Technician Certification.

The specific tests vary from one category to the next, ranging from written tests to performance evaluation. The general requirements for Certified Technicians are to successfully complete an IICRC approved formal course of study taught by an IICRC approved school and successfully pass the IICRC examination. A-Town / Hi-Tech has IICRC-certified technicians on staff.

Senior Carpet Inspectors

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification Senior Carpet Inspector is the highest level of achievement in the carpet industry. Senior Carpet Inspectors are qualified to give an expert opinion on all carpet related problems. Certified Senior Carpet Inspectors must complete 40 - 56 hours of classroom study, pass a comprehensive examination, both written and practical, and submit a minimum of ten inspection reports for review by their peers. In addition, they must adhere to the IICRC Code of Ethics.

IICRC Carpet Inspectors are recognized by all major carpet industry Trade Associations including the Carpet and Rug Institute. All four major fiber producers, DuPont, Allied, Monsanto and BASF, have contributed to the program by recognizing and using IICRC Certified Senior Carpet Inspectors when expert third party opinions are required. A-Town / Hi-Tech has a senior carpet inspector on staff.
